Our manufacturing has changed dramatically since Max Hobe senior cut the first precision tools by hand over 45 years ago. However, the pioneering spirit that drove the company’s founder to conquer a new market segment has remained unaltered. We still devote our boundless enthusiasm to innovative metalworking technologies, while trying to uncover which trends will shape our future collaboration with our clients.
We keep on investing in state-of-the-art machine tools. Thorough and regular maintenance of our machinery ensures its permanent readiness for use. Although our manufacturing is largely driven by robotics nowadays, for example, with CNC 5-axis and 6-axis grinding machines, humans still have an important role to play.
Indeed, we still grind manually when dealing with the highest precision and smallest geometries. The combined grinding expertise of our manufacturing experts, application engineers and designers is the reason our customers have appreciated us as a problem solver for many years.

We rely exclusively on top-quality carbide grades, which are carefully selected for each application. To ensure that metal rods meet our requirements as tool blanks, we regrind them accurately; because only an exact cylindrical shape provides the perfect surface quality, dimensional accuracy and concentricity that characterises our final products.
